A range of new Cape-made products has gone on display at the Invest Cape Town Centre at City Hall in the CBD.
According to Invest Cape Town Centre, the range follows a call-out and careful selection, highlighting the diversity of high-growth industries operating in the metro.
Opened in January 2024, the Invest Cape Town Centre is a multi-use space designed to serve as a launchpad for economic activity, collaboration, and investor engagement.
Since its inception, it has served as a major driver for economic progress, bringing together investors, entrepreneurs, and global partners while highlighting what makes Cape Town competitive, innovative, and forward-thinking.
Speaking at the launch of the new products on display, the City's mayoral committee member for economic growth, James Vos, said the centre has hosted nearly 80 strategic engagements, including diplomatic gatherings, workshops, and panel discussions.
“It is a space that visualises and exemplifies the energy and dynamism of economic opportunity in Cape Town.
“We are now proud to showcase a new range of Cape-made products, highlighting sectors where we are seeing strong growth, from fashion and design to skincare, food, and BPO services.
He said the centre is a space where local and international public and private sector roleplayers connect.
“It continues to evolve, telling Cape Town’s full economic story while turning meaningful engagements into tangible investment and sustainable job opportunities for our city,” he said.
He added that these new products reflect the sectors that are seeing real growth.
“They also help us tell a more complete story, not just about investment, but about the broader economic ecosystem: from small businesses to bigger industries, and how it all fits together.”
‘For me, this centre must remain a working tool. It must help us have better conversations, unlock opportunities, and ultimately support more businesses and jobs in Cape Town,” he said.
City partners, businesses, or other organisations interested in booking the Centre for intimate engagements - with a maximum capacity of 50 people - that spotlight the metro’s economic activity may contact the Invest Cape Town team.
Businesses interested in displaying their Cape-made products in the space may apply here. The next call for product displays at the Centre will go out in June 2026.
