The City of Cape Town is calling on Christmas bands, Malay choirs, and minstrel troupes to register for an upcoming information session ahead of the 2026 festive cultural events season.
The session, scheduled for July 14, will provide organisations with an overview of the City's event permit application and venue booking processes as preparations begin for one of Cape Town's most celebrated cultural traditions.
Organisations interested in attending must register by submitting their company registration documents or constitution, organisational credentials, and the names of their chosen representatives.
The City states that due to venue capacity constraints, associations will be permitted to send two representatives, while individual troupes, bands, and choirs may register one representative each.
The information session aims to assist cultural groups in understanding the administrative requirements for hosting events and securing venues during the busy festive season.
Interested parties can submit their registration details via email to events@capetown.gov.za.
Registration closes on June 22.
