Following successful performances around the country, Here & Now: A Luther Vandross Tribute returns to Cape Town this June, celebrating the music and legacy of one of the most influential voices in R&B and soul.
The production pays tribute to the late Luther Vandross through a live concert experience featuring many of his best-known songs, including Never Too Much, Dance With My Father, Here and Now, and So Amazing.
The show is led by vocalist Fagrie Isaacs and features a live band, with vocal support from Anslin Gysman, Andrea Fortuin, and Jade Engelbrecht. Together, they bring audiences a collection of songs that showcase Vandross' enduring impact on music.
According to the production team, the show has been well received since its Cape Town debut in 2022 and has continued to draw audiences across South Africa.
“Cape Town embraced this production wholeheartedly with its debut in 2022. The 2026 edition represents an elevated chapter of the show, honouring Luther Vandross’ extraordinary contribution to music with an expanded creative vision. We are excited to bring it back as part of a national tour, and it is only fitting that it begins here in the Mother City where it all started,” said the production team.
The show will take place at Artscape on Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27. Tickets are available through Webtickets or via WhatsApp on 076 866 9767.
The national tour will continue with performances in Krugersdorp on July 31 and August 1, Johannesburg on August 31, and Gqeberha on December 12.
This version keeps the spotlight on the tribute show and Luther Vandross rather than on the performer.
