The air-cooled engines of Cape Town are set to roar this winter as The Wild Buggers Beach Buggy Club prepares for its upcoming mid-winter club run.

On Saturday, July 11, the club will host the Propellers and Pistons Winter Cruise, a family-friendly and relaxed day out for the local motoring community.

The event is open to owners of beach buggies, Baja Bugs, old-school VW Beetles, and any air-cooled VW classic.

Participants will meet at Woodbridge Island, in Milnerton, at 9am, with the convoy departing strictly thirty minutes later.

The route offers a mix of local military history and scenic Western Cape roads.

The first stop is a tour of the South African Air Force (SAAF) Museum at Air Force Base Ysterplaat to admire vintage fighter jets and helicopters.

Afterward, the convoy will set a course inland for Paarl, concluding the day with a social lunch at Cape to Rio Fisheries.

Organisers encourage local owners to pull their rides out of the garage and join the celebration of local car culture.

For more information or to join the convoy, contact Mickey at 082 497 7721 or visit Wild Buggers. https://wildbuggers.co.za/next-event/.
