Award-winning singer-songwriter Simphiwe Dana will perform with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra for a one-night-only concert at the Artscape Opera House on Wednesday, July 29.
Simphiwe Dana: The Symphonic Experience will see some of Dana's best-known songs reimagined with full orchestral arrangements, blending African musical traditions with symphonic sound.
The programme includes favourites such as Inkwekwezi, Mayine, Ndimi Iqhawe and Mombathise, as well as an a cappella performance of Ndimemeza.
Dana will be joined by her musical director, Tshepo Tsotetsi, her rhythm section, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, and conductor Brandon Phillips.
Known for her distinctive voice and storytelling, Dana rose to prominence with her debut album, Zandisile, and has become one of South Africa's most acclaimed contemporary musicians.
