Sustainable Seafood Fest

The V&A Waterfront's third annual Sustainable Seafood Fest returns to Makers Landing on Saturday July 4 and Sunday July 5, celebrating South Africa's rich seafood culture while promoting responsible ocean stewardship.
Visitors can browse a fresh fish market featuring local suppliers, watch chef-led cooking demonstrations and live hake-filleting displays, and meet marine conservation organisations including WWF-SASSI and the Two Oceans Aquarium.
The festival also features seafood vendors, family-friendly activities, educational exhibits and live entertainment throughout the weekend.
Langa LGBTQI+ Pride
When: Saturday, July 4, 9am to 5pm
Where: Guga S'Thebe, Langa
Cost: Free
Langa LGBTQI+ Pride returns for its third edition this Saturday, bringing together community members, allies and visitors for a day celebrating visibility, equality and inclusion.
The programme includes a Pride march through the streets of Langa, live performances by local musicians, poets, DJs and dancers, as well as community and wellness stalls offering health information and support services. The day will conclude with a candlelight remembrance honouring those lost to hate crimes and discrimination.
This year's event is held under the theme Reclaiming Dignity, Culture and Belonging for LGBTQI+ People in our Communities.
Old Cape Quarter Thrift Fest
When: Saturday, July 4
Where: Old Cape Quarter, 72 Waterkant Street, De Waterkant
Cost: Free entry
Thrift shoppers can browse vintage clothing, second-hand books, jewellery, handmade goods and unique fashion finds at the monthly Old Cape Quarter Thrift Fest in De Waterkant.
The outdoor market brings together local vendors in one of the city's most popular lifestyle precincts, with nearby cafés and restaurants.
