Golden Arrow Bus Services (GABS) is warning jobseekers about fake messages claiming they can obtain free Golden Arrow tickets or vouchers through third-party processes.

According to the bus service, the messages reportedly ask people to complete tasks, courses or surveys, share their contact details or “purchase vouchers using codes” in exchange for free travel.

GABS said these offers are false. “GABS is not issuing free tickets or vouchers through these channels.”

Jobseekers are urged not to click on suspicious links, share personal information or make payments in response to these messages.

The bus operator said the public should use only its official communication channels for legitimate GABS information.

Importantly, GABS clarified that the warning does not apply to the Western Cape Government’s Jobseeker Travel Voucher Programme, which is a legitimate partnership with its own rules and processes.

Jobseekers should verify any travel voucher offer before providing personal information or making a payment.
