Zip Zap Circus presents Moya the stage show

Staff Reporter|Published 3 years ago

Jacobus “Trompie” Claassen, centre, and other Zip Zap Circus entertainers get ready for the show.

The Zip Zap Circus professional troupe will present a contemporary take on the heritage and culture of South Africa in a theatre show called Moya, from Thursday February 24 to Saturday February 26, at the Zip Zap Dome in the Artscape precinct, in the Cape Town city centre, at 7.30pm.

The show is based on the acrobatic art film of the same name which the circus released in 2021.

The professional troupe will explore collective acrobatic work, African dance including gumboots and pantsula, as well as traditional circus disciplines.

A maximum of 200 patrons will be seated in a lounge-style environment at the Zip Zap Dome. Tickets cost from R405. Book through Quicket.
