Appearing as ‘Actress Alice’ in Cape Town City Ballet’s upcoming festive season production of Alice in Wonderland, which opens at the Artscape on Friday, December 12, is Amahle Cindy Nyeke, 18, who hails from Khayelitsha and attends The Rainbow Academy Theatre School in the CBD.
“I’m so honoured to be in this show with Cape Town City Ballet- it’s a very exciting time for me.”
The ballet is inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. The production follows Alice as she tails White Rabbit into a fantastical realm filled with curious characters, unexpected adventures, and striking choreography.
