Cape Town reggae band The Rivertones will take to the stage at Die Boer Theatre on Friday, February 6 , with their tribute show Reggae Night.
The performance will celebrate some of reggae’s most influential global icons, including Bob Marley, UB40 and Eddy Grant, and highlights the genre’s enduring messages of love, unity and resilience.
Led by Roland Nair, a veteran of the South African reggae scene, The Rivertones are known for their authentic, old-school reggae sound.
Nair has performed with The Wailers in Cape Town and toured with Bunny Wailer, and the band supported Ali Campbell’s UB40 during their South African tour in 2023.
Audiences can expect to hear well-known reggae classics such as One Love, No Woman No Cry, Red Red Wine, Kingston Town, Electric Avenue and Gimme Hope Jo’anna, along with other favourites.
Tickets cost R200 and are available from 021 979 1911 or online at www.dieboer.com.
