Two shows which aim to celebrate rising stars across a range of dance disciplines will take place on Sunday, February 8, at the District Six Homecoming Centre.
Momentum, the afternoon show hosted by Siv Ngesi highlights up-and-coming dancers across a range of styles. A standout feature is a freestyle roulette battle, where dancers face off in an impromptu, high-energy showdown that tests both skill and spontaneity.
The evening event, Momentum Nights, will feature leading burlesque and drag performers, alongside international guest performer Lucy La Fur.
Hosted by Stella Rose, the evening will feature performances by performers including Baby Ray, Betty Behave, Bon Bon, Courtney De Vorst, Jezzy Belle, Lady Magnolia, MizzChief, Red Baroness, Scarlit Hearts, and Wolf Steel.
Exhibitors will be on site throughout the day, offering items and experiences, with raffle prizes available at both shows.
All profits from Momentum and Momentum Nights will be donated to support local dancers Hanna Mouneimne and Tariro Daisy Dzere, who have been invited to represent South Africa at international dance competitions in 2026.
Doors to the theatre open at 1pm. Tickets for each show are sold separately and are available via Quicket.
Momentum, the afternoon show, will take place between 2pm and 4pm. Momentum Nights will take place from 7pm to 9pm.
