Residents are invited to enjoy a winter curry supper while supporting vulnerable communities at the latest edition of The Good Table on Tuesday, June 30.
The monthly community dining event, hosted at The Gin Bar in the city centre, raises funds for Ladles of Love, a non-profit organisation that provides food relief and community support across South Africa.
This month's dinner will feature a menu prepared by chef Marné Gelderbloem of Mariah Curry, with guests able to choose from two warming curry dishes. Ingredients for the meal will be sourced through Feed The Soil, Ladles of Love's sustainability programme.
The evening will also include fresh bread from Silo Bakery, dessert from Honest Chocolate and wine from Hartenberg Wine Estate.
Organisers say The Good Table was created to bring people together over a shared meal while supporting charitable causes.
Net proceeds from the event will go towards Ladles of Love's ongoing work assisting communities facing food insecurity.
With space limited to 70 guests, organisers encourage those interested to book early.
The event will take place at The Gin Bar in Wale Street from 6pm to 8.30pm.
Tickets cost R400 and are available via Quicket.
