Award-winning actor Andrew Buckland returns to the Baxter Studio next month with his one-man production, The Fool's Guide... To Living and Dying, which runs from Tuesday, August 4 to Saturday, August 15.
Written by Andrew and Janet Buckland and directed by Janet, the production explores the human condition in the age of artificial intelligence and social media through comedy, physical theatre and satire.
Buckland plays Milton Yonaire, a father on a mission to save his son Billy from the "TechBro Overlords". Along the way, he encounters a cast of characters, including a devoted fan, a teacup Yorkie named Porky, and a mysterious robot vacuum cleaner.
The show earned Buckland the Kanna Award for Best Actor. It was also nominated for Best Debut Production (Drama) and Best Director.
At this year's National Arts Festival, director Janet Buckland received a Standing Ovation Award for the production.
Performances are at 7.30pm with Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.
The production carries an age restriction of 12 years.
