Cape Town is set for a busy weekend, blending music, food, and culture across the city.

From sunset DJ sessions and wine festivals to creative markets and late-night experiences, something is happening for every kind of weekend plan. Here are a few events you can attend this long weekend.

Explore the CBD’s vibrant gallery scene.

Date: Saturday, April 25

Where: Various venues within the CBD

Inner City Saturdays invites locals to explore the CBD’s vibrant gallery scene. Cape Town’s inner-city art scene takes centre stage this weekend as The Mission for Inner City Cape Town hosts a gallery-focused edition of Inner City Saturdays, inviting residents and visitors to explore one of the city’s most concentrated art precincts.

Taking place on Saturday, April 25, from 10am to 2pm, the programme encourages people to wander through Church Lane and the surrounding streets, which are home to a remarkable cluster of galleries and exhibition spaces within easy walking distance of each Other.

Participating galleries include 99 Loop Gallery, Eclectica Contemporary, The Cape Gallery, Nel Gallery, and the Iziko Old Town House on Greenmarket Square, among others.

All gallery spaces will be free and open to the public during the official Inner City Saturdays hours, except for the Iziko Old Town House, which charges R60 for adults, R40 for pensioners, students, and children aged 5 to17.

Sunset DJ Sessions (Beach Vibes)

Date: Friday - Monday, April 24 to 27

Where: Camps Bay

Fancy a beach vibe? Head to Hard Rock Cafe Cape Town this weekend, with a general sunset experience taking place on Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25. Expect golden-hour drinks, ocean views, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere.

Later in the evening on Saturday, the venue shifts into a more vibrant gear with its LGBTQIA+ Pride Sunset Session, running from 6.30pm to 11.30pm. The event features uplifting DJ sets and an inclusive party atmosphere, offering a lively way to experience Cape Town’s nightlife by the sea.

The weekend carries into Monday, April 27, with Music Matchup Quiz Night - an interactive music experience where guests match songs to cards, tackle fast-paced soundbite rounds, and sing along to iconic hits.
