For those seeking a slice of London luxury without leaving the V&A Waterfront, the wait is over.
Cape Grace has officially announced the return of "From London, With Love," a highly anticipated collaborative afternoon tea experience with the iconic Savoy Hotel.
Running from Friday, July 17, to Sunday, September 13, this limited-time event promises a sophisticated blend of British heritage and authentic Western Cape hospitality.
The menu bridges two worlds.
It features a reimagined Peach Melba - a tribute to the legendary chef Auguste Escoffier - now infused with a distinct Cape Town identity.
For scone lovers, The Savoy’s famous "Scoff" bakery concept makes its return, serving up inventive, non-traditional treats like the miniature Tiramisu Scoff.
Savoury enthusiasts will find local flavours elegantly elevated, with offerings such as smoked snoek pâté, free-range chicken roulade, and delicate braised leek tartlets.
This collaboration embraces a contemporary plating style, unlike the traditional tiered stands found in London.
Cape Grace executive pastry chef Lorraine Meaney welcomed The Savoy team back to Cape Grace. "It is a genuine pleasure," she said.
"This year, we have gone further in weaving the heritage of their afternoon tea together with the produce that defines our own table," said Meaney.
The experience is priced at R750 per person, which includes a welcome glass of bubbles or iced tea.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to book early to secure their table overlooking the marina.
