The Two Oceans Aquarium will host a series of dinners, called Deep Blue Dinner, with the first event taking place on Friday October 2 at 6pm.Â
The events comes after the aquarium opened its doors for the first time on Tuesday September 1 since the beginning of lockdown in March.Â
Diners on the night will have the view of the I&J Ocean Exhibit while being served a three-course meal, prepared by the aquarium’s in-house team of caterers, with table service.Â
In line with current government regulations, all physical distancing and hygiene protocols will be observed and a maximum of 50 seats will be made available.Â
The number of diners at a table must be sent when the booking is made.Â
The cost is R320 a person, which includes the three-course dinner and a welcome drink. Active members pay R270.Â
A cash bar will also be available, and no under 12s are allowed.Â
To book, email functions@aquarium.co.za or call 021 418 3823. Spots are limited and bookings will be confirmed upon payment.
The aquarium has also teamed up with Professional Emergency Care (PEC) to offer certified training to schools, industry and corporates on how to best manage the risks of Covid-19 in the workplace.Â
PEC’s trainers (all registered health-care providers) will guide attendees through everything they need to know about the risks of the coronavirus and how to build into their lives and places of work all the practices to keep safe.Â
Topics covered in this training include information about the virus and how it spreads, how to prevent the spread, the importance of physical distancing, how to sanitise equipment and surfaces, and how to adapt your general logistics to reduce these risks.
The Two Oceans Aquarium will provide the venue and all the training equipment as well as refreshments and stationery. This two-hour session of Covid-19 certified training costs R350 a person.
Sessions can only be booked between 7am and 6pm, with a minimum of 10 attendees, and final numbers must be submitted seven working days prior to the event date.
To book, email functions@aquarium.co.za or call 021 418 3823.
