The countdown has begun to the World Sports Betting Cape Town Met, at Kenilworth racecourse on Saturday January 27.
Apart from the horse racing, there will be live entertainment, a fashion show presented by fashion designer Gavin Rajah and various culinary options in the hospitality lounges and general areas.
The theme this year is Cape Splendour.
Donovan Everitt, Cape Racing’s chief operating officer, said the event promised an exciting blend of fashion, food and world-class entertainment for racegoers.
“We look forward to welcoming visitors from across the country to this event, which has long been one of the most exciting dates in Cape Town’s entertainment calendar.”
World Sports Betting CEO Warren Tannous said the event was one of the most significant on the horse-racing calendar.
“It offers the opportunity for the nation’s top trainers, jockeys and horses to test themselves against the best, as they vie for glory. With everything on offer, it promises to be the ultimate sporting and social event.”
As has become tradition, the Met will feature a best-dressed man and woman competition with cash prizes up for grabs.
