Help fill 10 000 pots and serve one million meals

Ladles of Love is aiming to serve one million meals to the needy this Christmas with its FillaPot campaign.

The NPO’s founder, Danny Diliberto, says R200 fills a pot with enough food to feed 100 children.

By sending a FillaPot gift certificate, along with a personal message, to family and friends, your help and that of everyone you know can fill 10 000 pots and serve one million meals to young and old, he says.

The campaign encourages businesses to incentivise staff to buy the R200 gift certificates as year-end gifts.

Ladles of Love relies on donations to buy fresh produce, grains and legumes to fill cooking pots at about 300 soup kitchens in the greater Cape Town area five days a week. This enables the kitchens to cook 30 000 daily meals for people in need.
