You or a loved one can win a Cape Town experience as part of an initiative by Cape Town Tourism during Tourism Month in September.
The public have until next Friday September 13 to nominate themselves or somebody else for the Freedom To Wish initiative, now in its third year, for an unforgettable experience, courtesy of Cape Town Tourism and the City of Cape Town.
Offerings to choose from include a ferry to Robben Island, visit to see penguins at Boulders Beach, abseiling down Table Mountain, viewing modern art at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa or other experiences Cape Town has to offer.
CEO of Cape Town Tourism Enver Duminy said Freedom To Wish makes Cape Town’s iconic attractions more accessible to locals and fosters a sense of local pride.
“Tourism has the power to bring people together, bridge divides, and strengthen understanding.
“It’s about creating moments of joy and connection that contribute to a more peaceful, cohesive community.”
Mayoral committee member for economic growth and tourism, James Vos, said the initiative plays a vital role in strengthening local tourism and supporting small businesses within the sector.
