Active citizens

Twenty-eight community activists and leaders from across Cape Town and Knysna have graduated from the Development Action Group’s “active citizens” training course. “The active citizens training course is customised to equip communities with a set of tools that will assist them in their advocacy and will better enable them to lobby different stakeholders, particularly government, to respond to housing and human settlements needs,” said DAG programme coordinator Akhona Siswana.
