STORM DRILL, Woodstock
Dance for a cause at STORM DRILL, a fundraising rave supporting community-led disaster resilience projects across Cape Town.
Hosted by Rave for Revolution at the Neighbourgoods Market, the event aims to raise funds and materials for the Housing Assembly, helping communities rebuild after floods and fires. Alongside the music, the evening highlights the role of mutual aid in addressing the city's housing challenges.

WinterFest, Paarden Eiland
Cape Town's biggest celebration of African heavy metal returns for another night of loud riffs, powerful vocals and local talent.
The 2026 edition features performances by The Dominion HxC, Strage, Dead Man Risen, Ill System, Halvar, Die Gemeente and Eat The Elderly, alongside DJs Nytrox, Myster-i, Angel-Grinder and DR Death. Festivalgoers can also browse the Metal Market while enjoying food and drinks throughout the night.

From London, With Love at Cape Grace, V&A Waterfront
Experience an elegant afternoon tea inspired by one of London's most iconic hotels.
Running until September 13, Cape Grace's collaboration with The Savoy blends classic British afternoon tea traditions with locally inspired flavours. Expect reimagined desserts like Peach Melba with a Cape twist, inventive "Scoff" pastries, smoked snoek pâté, free-range chicken roulade and seasonal savoury bites, all served with a contemporary presentation.

Independent filmmakers take centre stage at the latest edition of Open Mic Film Night.

Salome: THIS IS ME, City centre
Following a sold-out performance last year, South African singer Salome returns to the Artscape Opera House with an intimate evening of music and storytelling.

The Circuit, Kenilworth Racecourse
If you're looking for a night of music and dancing in the Southern Suburbs, The Circuit brings together deep house, R&B, hip hop, commercial hits and old-school favourites under one roof.
Live performer Jordan Baker will take to the stage alongside DJs Shane Langdon, Clint Supreme, Ghiaan, Waggy, Kixi and Dre, with Tyrone Paulsen as MC. Food, drink specials and secure parking will be available throughout the evening.

Cape Town International Hockey Tournament, Observatory
Some of the country's top under-19 hockey talent will compete in the Cape Town International Hockey Tournament, with more than 200 matches taking place across six venues.
The tournament features 64 teams from South Africa and abroad, with matches hosted at Hartleyvale Stadium, Central Hockey Club, Pinelands High School, SACS, UCT and WPCC Hockey.
