Cape Town Central police arrested a man in Barrack Street on Monday January 4 for arson.
Police spokesperson Captain Ezra October said a security officer spotted a fire at a kiosk in the basement parking area of a building.
He said after viewing video footage, a man was arrested for arson.
- Also on Monday January 4, police, with the help of the Central City Improvement District, arrested eight people for burglary and theft at the Cash and Carry shop on the Station Deck after receiving information from Cyclops camera operator.
